So I went to Pershing Square today to try out their seasonal ice skating rink with my little sister. I pay for my time/skates, walk over to the skates booth and      RICHARD DUNN WAS THERE HANDING OUT/CLEANING/WHATEVER THE SKATES!!!!!!!!!

I was like "RICHARD DUNN!! I AM A BIG FAN OF YOURS!" and he was like ":D *autographs autographs*" and shook my hand. Then he asked how I liked ice skating after I was done :')

So the city finally took a look at the claim I filed over the tree falling on the car a few months ago, and they've agreed to pay me $2300. This is the best day ever.

On another note: I've stopped using shampoo because the sulfates make my hair overly greasy D: I'm just washing my hair every day now, but without shampoo. I got some Burt's Bees stuff today but I think I'll hold off for a while just to see how everything is working out.

ok so I had this dream

I was in Japan, and for some reason Mt Fuji had combined with Tokyo Tower and it was this huge mountain tower thing. And people had to climb up it (like rock climbing, not hiking) to get to this kickass room at the top where you could hang out and look around.
I went and climbed it and by the time I got to the top I was super tired and barely made it into the room, and for some reason I had brought a bunch of stuff I'd bought while shopping with me.  So I hang out in there for a while and then decide I'm too tired to take my stuff with me, and I'll come back for it later. And then I took the elevator down (it only went down, not up) and I WENT HOME TO THE US AND LEFT ALL MY STUFF THERE ON TOP OF MOUNT FUJITOWER D:

Bought a new flash cart and a GBA expansion pack today. Sadly, my trusty old M3 Simply's firmware is no longer updated so I was being left in the dust on all the new stuff :'(

The polar bears were really cool. All fighting and stuff.

So I dropped my sister off at other sister's apartment in Long Beach the other day, went to head home and turned right down the wrong way of a one-way street. I was all "lalala" going down a couple of blocks, then I saw an intersection and slowed down to look at the signal, only to realize that there was no signal facing me and there was also four lanes of traffic coming towards me. AIEEEEEEeee
Fortunately there was a street I turned into immediately. People coming the other way were probably wondering what the fuck.

Played the Beatles Rock Band demo at Best Buy today. It's pretty good. I've actually never played any music games of that type (guitar hero/whatever) so it took me a while to figure out what was going on.

Me: *pushes buttons to match the colors on screen* *nothing is happening* *has to have some guy show that you have to strum that flappy thing as well*

CALLING ALL CHALLENGERS

This week sucks pretty hard so far

First, on Tuesday I was putting the head on a bike, setting the cam timing and I got the cams mixed up and ended up bending a valve (my subconscious was yelling at me to look at what the hell I was doing but I ignored it :'() so that put that job off while I located the parts.

Then, today our little cat got into the backyard, went from there through a hole in the fence to the neighbor's yard where their dog mauled it, puncturing her stomach and somehow damaging her leg muscle. Making her basically drag her hind legs around uselessly. I took her to the vet, it's costing $500 at this point (I chiseled the guy down from nearly $800) and she's on an IV overnight there.
And THEN at work I went and picked up the valves only to find that they were the wrong ones and it's going to take a week to get the right ones. So I'm fucked on that. Hopefully tomorrow I don't go to the vet and find that the cat has died overnight or that she requires surgery.

I want to hop into bed and wake up on Sunday.
